Donazioni

The Museum and its Donations 1986-2023

Even the smallest donations carry great weight!

The Museum’s intention is to make its gratitude known to all those who have demonstrated their enthusiasm and generosity towards our collections.

At the same time, we wish to highlight those who have felt the need to donate instruments of historical scientific interest to the Museum. Together, each donor has allowed our collection to expand.

These donations have been spontaneous or in some cases encouraged by the museum itself. Some of these donations have contributed to the lifeblood of particular sets within the collection.

Experience has shown that by accepting acts of generosity, links are created with our territory, while the social role of the museum and its ability to serve the community are strengthened.

How to make a donation

Although the Museum of Scales and Balances of Campogalliano is owned by the Town Council, many of its activities are managed by Libra 93.

Libra 93 is a cultural association which operates as a charity, has its own statute and by convention also cares for the Museum collection and its development. It is supported by contributions from its founding members (Campogalliano Town Council and the Cooperative of Scale-Maker Companies), by individuals, associations, bodies, foundations and businesses aware of the importance of such investments in culture.

To make a donation of instruments, you may contact the president of Libra 93 or the director or conservationist of the museum.

Libra 93 is listed in the Register of Social Promotion Associations and is eligible for the “5 per mille” Italian tax return donation.

For other donations, payment can be made to Libra 93 at the Banco BPM Agenzia di Campogalliano, IBAN IT21 B 05034 66670 000000003510

List of Donations

Numerous instruments, the fruit of generous donations made since 1986, are housed in the Museum of Scales and Balances of Campogalliano, and stand side-by-side with scales, scale maker’s tools, paintings and paper documents which have been donated. In the attached file, we would like to remember the names of donors who have made it possible to enlarge the collection, and who have made a significant contribution to the enrichment of the collection, not forgetting the manufacturers who have donated catalogues and price lists inherent to their production of scales.
